Job Purpose: To maintain a first class delivery and collection service to customers throughout the UK and Ireland.
Key responsibilities and main tasks:
- Deliver merchandise to customer premises in an efficient, safe and courteous manner.
- Unload deliveries and load any collections on to lorry.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Collect COD’s and issue invoices to customers.
- Obtain customer’s signature on paperwork.
- Log delivery problems in detail and contact Logistics/Sales with any queries if necessary.
- Process return merchandise.
- Follow all safety procedures including a visual vehicle checklist.
- Ensure vehicle is maintained and carry out any general housekeeping duties.

Criteria: This job will require going out to GB on occasion either Sunday day or evening but is primarily to cover Ireland. The weekly rate of pay includes all allowances etc for being away from home including £34.90 tax and NI free scale rate. Accommodation is paid for by the company.
Qualifications:
- Full clean driving licence including cat C1.
- Must have CPC and TACHO cards.
Relevant experience:
- Experience of driving a 7.5 tonne lorry.
- Experience of carrying out multi-drop deliveries.
- Good geographical knowledge.
- Experience of dealing with customers.
Skills/Aptitudes:
- Excellent administration skills.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer literate.
- Good numeric skills.
Personal characteristics:
- Reliability.
- Trustworthy.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
