What You'll Do
As an Aviation Refuelling Operator, you'll be responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and reliable refuelling services to aircraft operating at Birmingham Airport.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Safely perform aircraft refuelling activities in accordance with company, airport, and regulatory requirements.
- Handle, store, and transport aviation fuel while maintaining strict quality control standards.
- Follow all Safety, Security, Health and Environmental (SSHE) procedures and actively contribute to a strong safety culture.
- Conduct pre-operational checks and ensure equipment remains operational and compliant.
- Accurately record fuel deliveries, stock movements, and sales transactions.
- Monitor product quality and complete all required operational documentation.
- Respond appropriately to operational incidents and emergencies in accordance with established procedures.
- Deliver excellent customer service as a key point of contact for airline and airport customers.
- Support day-to-day operational planning to ensure aircraft are serviced safely and on time.
- Complete required training and maintain operational competency standards.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence activities.
Essential Requirements
What We're Looking For
- Valid LGV Class 1 (C+E) driving licence.
- Minimum of 2 years' current LGV Class 1 driving experience.
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good problem-solving and decision‑making skills.
- Basic IT, data entry, and numeracy skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime when required.
