The Terminal Manager is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and optimal performance of the Marine Terminal, meeting safety and operational targets of the Marine Segment.

Location: Falmouth Marine Terminal

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Marine Terminal to deliver safe, reliable, and legally compliant performance.
  • Oversee Terminal Operations staff.
  • Monitor and manage Marine Terminal GPO budgets.
  • Collaborate with Marine Commercial and other partners to implement the commercial strategy, ensuring terminal readiness.
  • Develop and implement plans for continuous improvement and future performance.
  • Ensure safe operation of the Marine Terminal in compliance with legal and WFS standards.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance to uphold the 'licence to operate', developing plans to meet and surpass requirements.
  • Ensure operational availability to meet business needs.
  • Manage Opex and Capex budgets effectively.
  • Develop and maintain emergency preparedness and response plans.

Experience:

  • Proven management experience in oil terminal operations or fuel storage and delivery management.
  • Experience overseeing maintenance and inspection of fuel systems.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation and experience implementing HSE practices.
  • Budget management and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Willingness to work in shifts and manage physical operations.

Desirable:

  • Mechanical Engineering background and professional qualifications in HSE or fuel quality assurance.

Background and Skills:

  • Strong supervisory and team management skills.
  • Experience controlling work schedules and mentoring teams.
  • Numerate with ability to calculate percentage blends.
  • Comfortable working at heights above 16 meters.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable:

  • Experience in ship-to-shore operations and understanding of engineering principles.
