This role will sit within the Global Data and Technology Solutions (GDATs) organization in World Courier and is a key member of the leadership team. We’re re‑imagining IT — not as a support function, but as a strategic partner to the World Courier business. We’re looking for someone who can listen deeply to the business, understand what really matters, and then guide the design of technology solutions that are practical, scalable, and future‑ready. You’ll help define technology roadmaps, shape demand, and make confident technology decisions that support white‑glove, global pharmaceutical logistics operations.

What you’ll do

• Be a true business partner: As a member of the IT leadership team for World Courier, you’ll work closely with leaders across operations, quality, regulatory, commercial, customer services and finance teams to understand their challenges and opportunities. You’ll help shape ideas into clear solution options that align with business goals and regulatory realities. You’ll build lasting relationships with our vendors to help build our technology innovation road maps.
• Set architectural direction with purpose: You’ll own and evolve our target architecture for World Courier and solution architecture for key priority projects — ensuring systems, data, integrations, and platforms work together as a coherent whole. You’ll balance today’s delivery needs with tomorrow’s strategy, keeping us secure, resilient, and adaptable.
• Shape demand, not just respond to it: You’ll lead our architecture and analysis capability to ensure scope of work and solutions are well‑defined, prioritized, and outcome‑focused. You’ll challenge constructively, simplify where possible, and help the business focus on what will deliver the greatest value. You’ll be a key contributor to the annual budgeting and for short, medium and long term planning.
• Enable delivery, don’t slow it down: You’ll partner closely with vendors, IT delivery, product, data, security, and infrastructure teams — providing clarity and guidance that helps teams move faster and with confidence. Architecture here is about enabling progress, not creating barriers.
• Support better decisions: You’ll provide clear insight into trade‑offs, risks, dependencies, and long‑term impacts, supporting investment and prioritization decisions across the portfolio. You’ll be a strong storyteller who can sell the solutions that we need to develop to a non‑technical audience.
• Grow people and capability: You’ll build, lead, and inspire a talented team of architects and analysts — creating a culture of curiosity, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Experience That Will Help You Succeed

• You will have worked with one or more of the following platforms: transportation management systems, warehouse management systems, IoT and visibility platforms, customer‑facing order solutions, with an awareness of enterprise‑level Salesforce/CRM solutions.
• Leading solution architecture or analysis in complex environments (20+ concurrent global projects).
• Strong grounding in business analysis and shaping demand.
• Strong understanding of applications, integrations, data, platforms, and security.
• Strong understanding of technology and technology delivery methods (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, etc.).
• Experience operating in regulated or operationally critical environments.

How you’ll be working

• This role operates within a global, matrixed IT organization, working closely with product, engineering, delivery, QA and business stakeholders.
• Collaboration across time zones and regions is required.
• Flexible and hybrid working arrangements apply in line with World Courier policies.
