About The Role

We’re looking for a driven and commercially minded Business Development Executive to join a growing UK & Ireland Sales team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys winning new business, building strong customer relationships, and working in a fast-paced, client-facing environment. You’ll take ownership of your region, identifying new opportunities, developing a strong pipeline, and helping customers find the right solutions for their business. This is a field-based role, so you’ll need to be comfortable spending time on the road meeting customers across the South West territory.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Driving new business development across your assigned region
  • Managing and growing a portfolio of new and existing customers
  • Building a strong understanding of each customer’s business, market and strategic priorities
  • Developing relationships with key decision-makers and influencers
  • Identifying, qualifying and prioritising sales opportunities
  • Building a healthy pipeline and managing activity against KPIs
  • Working with internal teams to develop and deliver tailored customer solutions
  • Supporting marketing campaigns, trade shows and seminars
  • Monitoring customer satisfaction and helping resolve issues effectively
  • Identifying new market opportunities and helping shape regional growth plans

What We’re Looking For

We’d love to hear from candidates who bring:

  • Experience in business development, sales or account management
  • A strong track record of winning new business
  • A proactive, self-starting approach and a genuine hunter mentality
  • Confidence in building relationships and creating opportunities from scratch
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • A professional and credible approach with customers
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken

Experience That Would Be Particularly Relevant

We’re especially interested in people with experience in:

  • Logistics
  • Transport
  • Freight forwarding
  • Bulk freight
  • Pharmaceutical, life sciences or BioPharma-related sectors

If you’ve worked in a commercially focused role within a logistics or transport environment and enjoy opening doors, building pipeline and developing long-term customer partnerships, this could be a great fit.
