Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Drive the vehicle into position for loading and unloading.
- Assist with the loading and unloading to ensure goods are stowed correctly.
- Check all consignment documentation and ensure it is kept with the package[s] at all times, verifying that the address matches the documentation and the amount of pieces is correct.
- Plan the collection/delivery route and seek assistance from Ground Operations if required.
- Drive the vehicle to the destination safely, avoiding danger to yourself and other road users.
- Use communication equipment, when safe, to keep in contact with Ground Operations.
- Arrange loading/unloading and obtain a receipt for goods delivered.
- Complete daily and weekly timesheets to hand in to your supervisor on a weekly basis, along with PODs and vehicle check sheets.
- Report vehicle maintenance needs and any incident/accident involving you or the vehicle.
- Wear the correct work uniform, ensure it is worn correctly and kept to a high standard.
- Comply with all EU 561/2006 regulations regarding driver hours.

- Able to follow procedures and instructions.
- Able to provide relevant information on request.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Possession of a valid license for the class of vehicle to be driven.
- Possession of a valid passport to travel across the continent.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
