Job Purpose

To support the business in maintaining compliance with GDP, GMP and ISO 9001 standards. The role ensures all activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with quality, regulatory and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Quality & Compliance
    • Provide QA oversight of operational activities
    • Ensure all QA activities are performed in line with company procedures and client requirements
    • Maintain compliance with GDP, GMP and ISO 9001 standards
    • Ensure all QA activities are accurately documented and records maintained
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable regulations and client Technical Agreements
  • Deviation & CAPA Management
    • Raise, investigate, review and manage deviations and corrective actions (CAPAs)
    • Support other departments in deviation investigations and CAPA management
    • Ensure corrective actions are implemented within agreed timelines
    • Ensure all incidents, complaints and deviations are recorded and communicated appropriately
  • Auditing & Inspections
    • Perform internal and supplier audits in line with audit schedules
    • Support and host client and regulatory audits
    • Assist QA Manager in audit readiness and compliance activities
  • Quality Systems & Reporting
    • Generate and report quality metrics to internal teams and clients
    • Attend client review meetings and present quality updates
    • Support change control processes ensuring quality-critical changes are documented and assessed
    • Ensure quality documents are controlled, reviewed and approved
  • Operational QA Tasks
    • Approve daily temperature monitoring reviews and escalate issues
    • Conduct effectiveness checks following RPi release where required
    • Produce weekly reports (e.g. Failed/Suspended and Terminated Bona Fide checks).
  • Health & Safety
    • Report accidents and near misses immediately
    • Ensure adherence to company Health & Safety policies
    • Promote a safe working environment across teams
  • General
    • Support QA Manager as required
    • Carry out additional reasonable duties in line with business needs and experience

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Degree (preferred)
  • Experience in QA within a GDP or GMP environment
  • Strong knowledge of GDP regulations
  • Understanding of the UK pharmaceutical regulatory framework
  • Ability to become fully trained on departmental procedures within 6 months
