The WANO London Office is looking for a talented individual to join our team as a Junior Developer/Junior Data Scientist on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with the potential an for extension.
This is an exciting opportunity to combine Software Development and Data Science, using Python and modern technologies to build web applications, develop machine-learning solutions, and support data-driven decision-making across the organisation.
Working as part of an international team, at the centre of a global organisation, you'll contribute to projects from initial analysis through to development, testing, implementation and support, while developing your technical skills and experience.
🧩 Key Responsibilities
In this varied and technical role, you will:

Develop and support web applications using Python, HTML, CSS and JavaScript (React)

Clean, transform and prepare data for analysis and machine-learning solutions

Contribute to Data Science and AI projects that solve business challenges

Test, maintain and improve applications to ensure they remain fit for purpose

Troubleshoot issues and support existing systems

Produce technical documentation and maintain version control
👀What We're Looking For
✅ Proficiency in Python
✅ Basic understanding of software development principles
✅ Experience using source control tools such as Git
✅ Basic SQL knowledge
✅ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
✅ Excellent attention to detail and willingness to learn
✅ Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
🎓 A degree in a relevant technical or analytical discipline
⭐ Demonstrated experience with Data Science, Machine Learning, and Large Language Models
⭐ Experience with any of: Azure DevOps, Docker, Linux, or Plotly Dash
