Exchanging of best practice and planning. The London Office Strategy and Governance function is responsible for an array of areas across the organisation including setting the standards for and managing global governance for the association, executive support to the WANO Chair, CEO, Governing Board and sub-committees, and Executive Leadership Team, WANO membership, legal compliance, organisational strategy management, annual and long-term business planning and coordination.
The Strategy and Governance team closely coordinates across both areas of corporate strategy and governance to maintain the highest standards of governance and progress the organisation towards achieving its long-term strategy. This is achieved through strong leadership and oversight, robust policies, procedures, standards, exchange of best practice and planning.
Typical roles include:
- Director: Strong leader, strategic thinker, experience in company compliance and maintaining high standards of corporate governance, ability to provide strategic and legal advice at Board and Executive level.
- Ability to lead and monitor the strategic planning, planning and project management and cooperating closely with internal and external stakeholders to help deliver key strategic business goals.
- Strong leadership and coordination skills and ability to develop high level reports to summarise organisational progress.
- Ability to lead and manage all aspects of governance support at Board and Executive level, company compliance, strong communicator, flexible, able to cope with unexpected and varied demands, highly organised with good attention to detail.
- Ability to provide high-level support at executive level, strong communicator, able to cope with unexpected and varied demands, highly organised with good attention to detail.
- Experience in strategic and annual business planning.
- Basic understanding of nuclear export controls and regulatory sanctions.
- Experience in risk management, internal controls, and legal compliance.
- Experience in managing corporate governance and providing support at executive level.
