The Role: The position of Sales Director at Procurement Leaders plays a critical role in the development and execution of the firm’s new business goals by successfully selling the Procurement Leaders value proposition. Sales Directors are supported by SDRs who identify, target, contact and set video calls with top executive prospects, while supporting all pipeline activities that follow. You will be an individual contributor but mentor and coach your SDRs to support the growth of the community. This critical position offers a great opportunity to drive the sales function and the company to the next level. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion and appreciation for an effective and efficient sales process as well as thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment where developing trusted relationships internally and externally is paramount to our continued growth. Success will be determined by revenue contribution which entails new Members (adds) and retention of members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, own, and implement a sales strategy in assigned territories aimed at significantly increasing new members for Procurement Leaders.
- Meet personal and team quarterly and annual sales and activity targets.
- Develop membership sales pipeline and report on sales status weekly, monthly, and quarterly.
- Segmenting and prioritizing assigned territory for maximum results.
- Developing a high volume, ‘challenger’ led sales style and lead with excellent knowledge about procurement and the industries that procurement operate within.
- Working collaboratively with marketing and research teams to gain the necessary support to optimize sales success.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum of 8 years experience within sales or commercial environment.
- Proven sales record of selling to C‑Suite executives.
- A top quartile sales background in advisory/professional services.
- Ability to coach and mentor junior professionals on the team.
- Strong personal impact and ability to be highly credible in front of senior executives.
- High degree of determination and ability to perform under target pressure.
