Do you have experience of driving 7.5 tonne vehicles? Are you available immediately to work on a full-time basis, 37 hours a week? Do you have a current Category B Driving licence? Work with York Limited and our local authority client has a great opportunity for a Bin Delivery Driver.

The role is working individually and as part of the wider team within our client’s Waste Management Service Department, undertaking a range of duties to include:

  • Driving a 3.5 tonne vehicle
  • Delivering containers (bins and boxes)
  • Removal of bins
  • Minor repair of bins where required

The role is based in York, Monday to Friday, 7:00 am – 3:00 pm, for a minimum of 3 months, potentially up to 6 months, at a rate of £13.86 per hour.

The successful candidate will manage the bin store, ensuring the working environment is kept clean and safe, taking delivery of bins from our client’s external supplier. You will also be required to deliver trade bags to the city centre for our client’s commercial waste customers.

Candidates must have good customer service skills and be able to work independently as well as have the ability and experience to drive a 7.5 tonne tail lift vehicle. A good knowledge of York would be an advantage.
