The Credit Controller will ensure that aged debt is collected efficiently by resolving client queries swiftly and maintaining credit limits. By keeping a well‑managed ledger, you will support our client's operational efficiency. The role requires 3 years of consistent B2B credit control experience, a commitment to exceptional service, and proactive identification of improvement opportunities. Please note, this role can be remote (UK) based or hybrid out of our Otley office; the successful candidate will need to attend 4 days of training in the Otley office.
Essential
- Build on existing relationships with clients to ensure aged debt is collected in a timely manner
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills to manage workload and prioritise tasks
- Highly PC‑literate with strong system skills – proficient in financial software such as Microsoft Office and accounting software
- Investigate and resolve complex account queries
- Proactively manage and collect invoices through various communication channels
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Collaborate with management and sales teams to resolve payment disputes and enhance relationships
Preferred
- Working knowledge of self‑bill accounts would be advantageous
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance processes and improve service delivery
- Experience with back‑office systems
