Our client is seeking a Senior SaaS business development / Sales Manager with a background in SaaS enterprise software. Experience in fleet, logistics, or enterprise software is a strong advantage.
What You'll Do:
- Lead, manage, and coach a high-performing SaaS sales team to consistently achieve and exceed targets.
- Set, monitor, and optimise team and individual KPIs aligned with company growth objectives.
- Drive your own sales in a fast-paced, ambitious SaaS environment.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and customer success teams to refine go-to-market strategies and revenue plans.
- Analyse performance metrics and provide actionable insights to maximise sales effectiveness.
Key skills required for the role include:
- Demonstrated track record of meeting and exceeding team and individual sales targets.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and motivational skills.
- Proven experience in large customer account management and customer success within a SaaS software business for strategic accounts.
- Proven skills in upselling and expanding client account opportunities.
- Experience in developing Strategic Account plans to guide the customer on a successful experience.
- Experience of engaging with stakeholders up to the C-level.
- Experience ideally in Telematics or fleet management software, or driver software.
- Ideally, experience in managing accounts for bus/coach fleets or bus operators in the UK is a significant advantage.
- Experience in Health and safety management and an understanding of the processes surrounding driver behaviour and safety.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Business development; sales opportunities and participation in the sales process.
- Maintain opportunities within the CRM and provide accurate forecasts.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by proactively managing large customer accounts and issues.
- Gather customer software product and user feedback, communicate it to various company stakeholders, and serve as the customer's trusted advisor.
- Develop new relationships within accounts - from bottom to top (able to engage up to C-level).
- Ensure software renewals are dealt with promptly and efficiently, and seek opportunities to upsell.
- Execute Product Trials and Evaluations with existing customers and prospective customers.
- Assist the Finance team with invoice accuracy and payment escalations.
- Understand the customer organization and the roles and responsibilities of their key employees.
- Act as the primary escalation point in the event of any issues.
