As the Business Development Manager for the Midlands region, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth and market presence. You will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing key client relationships, and working closely with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions. This role offers the flexibility of remote working while being at the heart of our expansion strategy in a dynamic and competitive market.

  • Sourcing and developing new business, as well as growing business in existing accounts
  • Strong discipline in the delivery of technical & consultative sales, from specification and proposals, building bespoke, fully integrated solutions
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and technical teams to ensure seamless delivery and customer satisfaction
  • Managing a busy pipeline of projects of various scale and complexity
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and reports to customers and senior management
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and performance metrics set by the company
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to raise brand awareness
  • Preparing detailed quotations and specifications, working with R&D and technical teams to deliver customer requirements

Key attributes required:

  • Proven experience sourcing and developing new business; technical or industrial products
  • Technical background, preferably in the print/labelling machinery industry, or engineering experience advantageous
  • Managing multiple client demands and projects
  • The ability to collaborate across internal and external teams
  • Must be able to travel in and around Midlands
  • A full UK driving licence is preferred
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
