We are currently seeking an Area Account Manager to join our clients team based in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys autonomy, managing their own diary, and building strong relationships with customers in a face-to-face environment.

The Role
- In this field-based position, you will be responsible for managing customer relations of a portfolio of existing customers, while handling any disputes or complaints.
- Key responsibilities include:
- Visiting both new and existing customers to build and maintain strong relationships
- Managing a portfolio of accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
- Handling customer queries and resolving issues efficiently and professionally
- Negotiating contract terms to ensure continuity of business
- Working closely with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are met
- Planning and managing your own diary to maximise productivity
- Visiting customers that are difficult to engage remotely, resolving complaints and strengthening relationships
- Making confident, on-the-spot decisions to resolve challenges while protecting the company’s commercial position
Requirements
- To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Full UK driving license required
- Previous experience in account management or a similar customer-facing role
- Strong customer relationship and complaint resolution experience
- Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage a busy workload using a CRM system
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Good geographical knowledge of Birmingham and surrounding areas
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and IT skills
