Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity to appoint a Maintenance Operative who will be undertaking tasks to assist with the maintenance of the general condition and availability of the schools' great facilities. We are looking for a candidate who wishes to progress their career with us to be responsible for a varied range of decorating work both inside and outside of the schools. Also to undertake a range of maintenance work from minor to major repairs and construction which includes joinery, brick work, plastering and general labouring.

Responsibilities

  • Complete maintenance requests
  • Working within a team on project works
  • Finishing tasks within the allocated timeframe
  • Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures and regulations
  • Delivering high quality work at a fast pace
  • Keeping maintenance stores tidy and informing line manager when items are low or out of stock
  • Reporting of any repair work that is found and if it's a danger, making safe
  • Checking all equipment before using, reporting any defects that are found and if required, taking the equipment out of use
  • Ensure that PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is worn correctly and suitable for the conditions of the job
  • Report any faults with PPE
  • Be able to work on own initiative and have strong attention to detail
