Our client, based in Bordon, is one of the most well-established and leading specialists in their field.
They are seeking an efficient Workshop Operative who is eager to work in a stimulating environment within a clean and modern workshop. Willingness to learn new skills, including operating machinery, is essential.
Main Accountabilities
- Operate machinery, including lifting equipment, hand tools, and more complex machines after training.
- Maintain quality standards by conducting quality checks at handover and before passing to the next station.
- Address quality issues by communicating with the Production or Workshop manager or shift leader.
- Undertake rectification, training, and coaching as instructed.
- Work collaboratively to meet daily production targets.
- Participate in daily shift ‘huddles’ and take appropriate actions.
- Keep work areas and equipment clean, organized, and compliant with 5S standards.
- Report equipment faults to maintenance staff.
- Follow company policies and H&S standards, including wearing PPE for safety.
- Ensure work quality by following safe working instructions and contributing to training.
