Our client is a well-established and respected provider of affordable housing, committed to delivering safe, high-quality homes and essential services to their communities. They are currently seeking experienced Gas Servicing Engineers to support their ongoing maintenance and compliance programmes.
The role involves carrying out boiler and cooker servicing across residential properties in the Basingstoke, Reading, Andover, Eastleigh, and Southampton areas, ensuring all work meets the highest safety and regulatory standards. Candidates must be able to drive, be a Gas Safe Registered Engineer, and supply their Gas Safe number.
Candidates must have their own van and tools and demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service. The role requires engineers to be capable of completing up to eight services per day while maintaining high safety and quality standards on boilers and cookers within the social housing sector. Mileage and an hourly rate will be paid from the time work starts until the final job is completed at the last work address, with work continuing until the end of March.
Skills Required:- Proven experience in domestic gas servicing and maintenance
- Competent in servicing boilers, cookers, and associated gas appliances
- Strong understanding of current Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations
- Ability to carry out landlord gas safety checks and issue relevant certification
- Skilled in fault finding, diagnostics, and basic repairs on gas appliances
- Knowledge of combustion analysis and safe testing procedures
- Ability to identify and report unsafe situations in line with industry standards
- Experience working within occupied residential properties
- Accurate completion of job records, service reports, and compliance documentation
- Strong awareness of health and safety procedures and risk assessments
- Must provide: A Landlord Gas Safety Record (LGSR)
- Essential: Must be able to provide a basic DBS
