As Supply Chain Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the site supply chain, including control of ethical sourcing, planning and purchasing, whilst adhering to sustainability agendas. You will work with supply chain colleagues within Group to deliver world class supply chain initiatives. With reporting lines to the Site Lead and Group Supply Chain, the main remit for this role will be to facilitate and support the Supply Chain activities of the business, ensuring operational needs are met, considering the price, quality and delivery whilst ensuring continuity of supply and best practice.
Key Duties
- Lead, enhance and develop all aspects of supply chain performance; collaborating with the senior leadership team, Global supply chain and other key stakeholders as required.
- You will ensure that your team is fully trained and follow the safety guidelines in all aspects of the supply chain, including use of forklifts and any other vehicles as appropriate.
- Work with Group supply chain to develop and align supply chain strategies, measuring and analysing quality and delivery performance through KPIs.
- You will build effective relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers, overseeing and ensuring best practice is maintained throughout the supply chain.
- You will lead and improve supplier performance in terms of Service Level, Lead Time, Lot Size, cost, stock level, etc., and be responsible for annual stock counts during the financial year.
- Ensure through effective planning that the right levels of inventory are established, maintained, and flexed to meet current and future operational/project needs.
- You will lead the internal movement of materials and finished goods, developing logistics capabilities to support continued growth and development.
- Lead and deliver ERP implementation and roll out.
- You will ensure that supply chain processes meet legal requirements and standards and are compliant with internal policies.
- Champion and have oversight in New Product Development Projects to ensure viable delivery of supply chain for new materials.
Skills and Knowledge
- Commercial experience working as a Supply Chain Manager or equivalent (e.g. Purchasing/Sourcing Manager).
- Experience of working strategically as part of a Senior Leadership Team.
- Experience of working in a regulated industry.
- Ownership of ERP / MRP systems is essential.
- Experience of working within a matrix organisation is advantageous although not essential.
- Significant experience in maintaining effective and productive relationships with external customers.
- Robust commercial and financial awareness with strong negotiation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
- You will be analytical and have the ability to interpret data to provide strategic and tactical solutions.
- Demonstrable experience in managing and leading a team of people to achieve shared objectives.
- You will be CIPS qualified to a minimum of level 5 or hold equivalent qualification and/or relevant experience.
Havant (hybrid model but must be commutable to Havant) £65-70K plus benefits including enhanced Maternity/Paternity Leave, Additional Holiday, Private Medical, Life Assurance and additional benefits.
