Our client is seeking a Security Controller to manage all aspects of protective security at our Portsmouth office. This part-time role (20 hours/week) is ideal for a proactive professional with experience in security management, compliance, and vetting processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee site security procedures, audits, and compliance with HMG Security Policy Framework.
- Act as primary contact for security matters, including accreditation and overseas travel.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents.
- Liaise with project teams, clients, and vetting authorities (UKSV & HMG).
- Collaborate with IT to maintain secure networks.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience in a protective security role.
- Strong communication skills, able to brief staff and Board-level directors.
- High integrity, attention to detail, and discretion.
- Knowledge of HMG Security Policy Framework & Information Assurance standards.
- British Passport, driving license, and Security Clearance (or ability to obtain).
Desirable:
- Membership of DISA or other professional IA bodies.
- Familiarity with HMG personnel vetting processes.
