Description:
Working in the production department of this manufacturing organization, undertaking all forms of electronic assembly and related tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to solder, wire and form components to military standards (J-STD)
- Ability to follow written work instructions.
- A keen eye for detail
- Ability to maintain a high level of concentration.
- Ability to distinguish colours
- Must possess good manual dexterity and have a good level of literacy and numeracy.
- Knowledge of magnetics wiring
- Knowledge of wiring diagrams / schematics
- Ability to use workshop tools
- Perform precision soldering of electronic components on PCBs per military standard
- Inspect and rework soldered joints for quality assurance
- Follow detailed work instructions and diagrams
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Document and report any defects or issues
- Collaborate with the quality control team to improve processes
Education / Experience:
- IPC-A-610 qualification or equivalent
- Good time management skills and has a positive and methodical approach to work
- Ability to use soldering equipment
- Electronic component recognition

- Able to react and take decisions quickly whilst remaining cool, calm and collected.

Compensation and Benefits:
- Hours of Work: 38 per week, 8.30 am to 5.30 pm (half hour lunch) Monday – Thursday, 8.30 am to 12.30 pm Friday.
- Pension: Group Stakeholder Pension Scheme. Company’s contribution 5% of basic salary, employee contribution a minimum of 4% of basic salary
- Holiday Entitlement: 194 hours (23 days) holiday
