Our client, manufacturing precision machined castings, is currently seeking an experienced Manual Turner/Miller to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of machining processes and be proficient in operating manual lathes and related equipment. The role includes producing components to exact specifications while maintaining high-quality production standards.
Main duties:
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings to support accurate component manufacturing.
- Utilize strong mathematical abilities and precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Manufacture components to exact specifications using a range of equipment, including lathes, milling machines, and drilling tools.
- Conduct in-process inspections with gauges and measurement instruments to ensure quality standards are met.
- Contribute actively to continuous improvement efforts within the production environment.
- Consistently maintain precise tolerances while upholding health and safety best practices with strong attention to detail.
Experience and skills required:
- Hands-on experience working within a machining or workshop environment.
