£30,000 per annum + No Weekends + No Bank Holidays

6:30am–4:30pm - Permanent

Are you a customer-focused Trade Store Assistant with strong communication skills and confidence in generating sales opportunities? Join a well-established business in a customer-focused Trade Store Assistant role, supporting the day-to-day operation of the trade counter and warehouse. You’ll serve customers, manage stock and orders, and build strong customer relationships while helping the store achieve its sales and service targets. Construction industry experience would be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve customers at the trade counter and process cash and card transactions accurately.
  • Pick goods for collections and prepare customer orders.
  • Maintain an organised, well-stocked and tidy trade counter.
  • Check deliveries and stock transfers, book stock in and put stock away.
  • Complete stock takes and support effective stock management.
  • Make outbound sales calls to identify opportunities and promote products.
  • Build positive customer relationships through proactive contact and excellent service.
  • Follow health and safety procedures and support store performance targets.

Skills & Knowledge Required

  • Hold a full UK Driving Licence.
  • Have strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Be confident making outbound sales calls.
  • Demonstrate the ability to identify sales opportunities.
  • Build and maintain positive customer relationships.
  • Have good teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Be IT literate and comfortable using stock and sales systems.
  • Have safe handling awareness; a Counterbalance Forklift Licence is desirable but not essential.

The successful Trade Store Assistant will be proactive, self-motivated and committed to delivering excellent customer service while supporting efficient store operations.
