Commercial Property Legal Assistant Southampton
A great opportunity has become available for a Commercial Property Legal Assistant to join a well-established law firm at its Park Gate office in Southampton. Working as part of a busy and friendly Commercial Property team, you will provide essential day-to-day legal and administrative support to Fee Earners across a varied commercial property caseload.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting Fee Earners with a varied commercial property caseload.
- Liaising with clients and third parties, including estate agents, landlords and other solicitors.
- Opening new files and matters on the firm's Case Management system.
- Drafting correspondence, documents and precedents on behalf of Fee Earners.
- Completing ID checks for clients.
- Providing general administrative and legal support to the Property team as required.
You will ideally have:
- At least 2 years plus legal secretarial or legal assistant experience within Property.
- Experience supporting commercial property matters.
- Strong legal administration and secretarial skills.
- Experience with audio typing and digital dictation systems.
- Previous experience using a Case Management system.
What they Offer:
Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm and in the office. Salary depending on experience - £26,000 - £28,000.
- 25 Days holiday plus bank holidays. Increasing by 1 day per year after 5 years' service (not exceeding 30 days).
