CNC Programmer – (4 Day week) £21ph Permanent Southampton
Are you an experienced CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator with 5-axis machining skills and the ability to write or modify Fanuc or Haas programs? This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established precision engineering company producing high-quality components for demanding industries. The successful CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator will play a key role in delivering quality, efficiency and continuous improvement within a supportive manufacturing team.
The Role
- Set, program and operate 4 and 5 axis CNC machining centres.
- Write, edit and optimise Fanuc and Haas programs.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings to produce components to specification.
- Inspect your own work using micrometers, verniers and other measuring equipment.
- Adjust wear offsets to maintain quality and cycle times.
- Deburr and assemble components where required.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area.
- Support continuous improvement and work collaboratively with colleagues.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator.
- Strong knowledge of 4th and 5th axis machining.
- Ability to write and modify Fanuc and Haas programs.
- CAD/CAM experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Familiarity with AS9100 and ISO9001 quality standards.
- Confident using precision inspection equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
