Are you an experienced Production Planner with strong ERP system knowledge and a background supporting manufacturing or production environments? A well-established specialist manufacturing business in Portsmouth is looking for a Production Planner to join its planning function. You will coordinate production planning activities, maintain accurate schedules and work closely with production, purchasing and other internal teams to help ensure customer requirements are delivered on time.

This Production Planner role would suit someone who is highly organised, confident working with ERP systems and comfortable managing changing priorities in a busy manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate planning and production information within the ERP system.
  • Support the Planning Lead with day-to-day production planning activities.
  • Update production schedules and planning records accurately.
  • Monitor material availability and identify potential shortages or delays.
  • Coordinate production priorities to support efficient manufacturing.
  • Liaise with production, purchasing and other internal departments.
  • Maintain accurate system data to support planning and delivery requirements.
  • Provide administrative support across the wider planning function.

Skills & Knowledge Required

  • Have previous experience within production planning, manufacturing or a similar environment.
  • Demonstrate practical experience using an ERP system.
  • Ideally have experience with Oracle, SAP or a similar ERP platform.
  • Possess strong administration and organisational skills.
  • Maintain excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Communicate confidently with colleagues across different departments.
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Working hours are 7:45am–4:45pm Monday to Thursday and 7:45am–12:15pm Friday.
