Our client is a well-established, award-winning landscaping company with over 50 years’ industry experience. Known for delivering high-quality, standard work within the domestic and commercial sector. They are now looking for a skilled Hard Landscaper willing to carry out Soft landscaping and general garden maintenance to join their friendly, professional team in Southampton.
This role would suit someone who takes real pride in their work and has experience across both hard and soft landscaping, lives in the Botley area, and must be able to drive.
The RoleYou will be responsible for building high-quality domestic gardens from start to finish, including:
- Setting out sites and working to accurate levels
- Installing high-quality hard landscaping, including patios, pathways and retaining features
- Brickwork, including walls and garden structures
- Installing pergolas, fencing and timber features
- Laying lawns, planting and completing soft landscaping works
- Operating a mini-digger and other landscaping machinery, preferred
- Driving a 7.5-ton lorry (or willing to obtain licence and test)
- Working on sites mainly within a 20-mile radius of Botley, Southampton (travel time paid)
- Delivering a high standard of work with strong attention to detail and client satisfaction
- Willing to carry out basic garden maintenance
- Willing to work in all weather
- Proven experience in garden construction, landscaping, or groundworks sector
- Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on, outdoor work
- Confident operating landscaping machinery (mini-digger experience essential)
- Willing to drive or train to drive a 7.5-ton vehicle
- Able to commute reliably to Botley or willing to relocate before starting
- £27,000–£31,000 per year, depending on experience
- All tools and machinery provided (own hand tools may be required)
- Company vehicle provided for travel between yard and sites
