Experienced Bricklayers Required – Social Housing Contract. Our client is seeking highly skilled and professional Bricklayers to join their team on a 12-week contract delivering reactive and planned maintenance works across a social housing portfolio covering: Basingstoke, Farnborough, Farnham, Aldershot, and surrounding areas.

This role involves working in both tenanted and void properties, carrying out a wide range of bricklaying and masonry tasks while maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety, and customer care. As work will be carried out in occupied homes, candidates must be confident liaising directly with tenants and housing representatives, maintaining a polite, professional, and respectful manner at all times within the Basingstoke areas.

The Role

You will be responsible for reactive maintenance and planned bricklaying works, including:

  • Brick and block repairs
  • Rebuilding damaged walls and boundary walls
  • Repointing and remedial masonry works
  • Brick replacement and structural patch repairs
  • Lintel replacements
  • Garden walls, wall repair
  • All masonry works
  • Working across Basingstoke and surrounding areas
  • Ensuring all works are completed safely and to a high standard
  • Completing relevant job sheets and paperwork accurately
Role Requirements

We are looking for bricklayers who are:

  • Experienced in domestic and/or social housing environments
  • Fully qualified (NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Bricklaying preferred)
  • Experienced in all aspects of bricklaying and masonry repairs
  • Self-sufficient with own van and tools
  • Covered by (or willing to obtain) business vehicle insurance
  • Well-presented and customer-focused
  • Reliable, organised, and able to manage workload independently
  • Based within a reasonable commuting distance of Basingstoke
  • Able to provide two recent references
