Our client based in the Havant area is looking to recruit an experienced Assembly Operator to join their team. When you join them, you will be integrated into a cooperative and encouraging team, participate in challenging yet critical work, and experience ongoing growth opportunities to help you achieve your full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work on the assembly line within cleanrooms to combine parts and components.
- Inspect the product and identify and report any defects to ensure only products that meet the required specifications move on to the next manufacturing stage.
- Build products on the assembly line according to customer specific technical drawings, instructions, or schematics.
- Make all required assemblies in the range and work with a complex range of products.
- Understand the special importance of product quality, safety and performance for their application within manufacturing processes.
- Inspect the assembled products for any faults or defects and report any issues immediately to the supervisor in the area.
- Report incidents, faulty operations, or product imperfections on the assembly line to your Supervisor for further exploration.
- Move materials and components between workstations, safely handling waste materials and finished products to maintain a tidy and organised cleanroom.
- Assist with the daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning operations within the cleanroom environment.
- Ensure compliance with all company health and safety rules and regulations at all times, including contributing to any company health and safety initiatives and activities.
Skills/Experience:
- Experience of working on an assembly line and following manual assembly techniques for products.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure the accurate assembly of products and strict adherence to specifications.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ensuring that assembly line output is aligned to cycle times.
