Material Stores Operator Aldershot £16.00–£18.50ph Permanent Are you an experienced Material Stores Operator with strong organisational skills and a practical, hands-on approach? Workshop Recruitment is supporting a well-established engineering business seeking a Material Stores Operator to take responsibility for the smooth flow of materials in and out of the workshop. This is a hands-on role involving stock control, material preparation, goods receiving and supporting the shop floor. You will work closely with colleagues, managers and other departments to keep materials moving accurately and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Receive, inspect and book in raw materials and process delivery documentation. Raise job cards and cross-reference material certificates for compliance. Prepare billet and bar materials to meet shop floor requirements. Maintain accurate stock control and support bi-annual stock takes. Carry out hardness testing on received materials. Operate forklifts and maintain required forklift logbooks. Support expediting, parts movement and early-stage subcontract organisation. Maintain health, safety, quality and departmental processes. Skills & Knowledge Required Previous stores, warehouse or materials handling experience. ERP and Microsoft experience. Forklift experience is desirable; refresher training can be provided. Full driving licence required. Strong organisational and communication skills. Able to work independently, make decisions and meet deadlines. Comfortable with manual handling and being on your feet for most of the day. Positive, flexible, methodical and team-focused approach. Benefits Salary-exchange pension.
