Role Overview
The Senior Bid Manager is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of high-value, complex tender submissions across Workplace Futures Group. You will lead a team of Bid Managers, ensuring submissions are cohesive, client-focused, and compliant, and act as the main conduit between the bid team and project/technical teams. You will guide the team through each stage of the bid lifecycle, maintaining quality and adherence to deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full tender lifecycle from receipt of Employer’s Requirements to post-tender interviews.
- Translate complex tender requirements into actionable plans, task allocation, and internal deadlines.
- Lead and mentor Bid Managers, providing guidance, feedback, and quality control of submissions.
- Ensure all bid content and visuals are aligned with brand, tone, and client requirements.
- Coordinate with project teams and directors to ensure accurate technical and commercial input.
- Support the preparation of mid-tender and post-tender interview materials.
- Identify and mitigate risks across live tender submissions.
- Ensure all tender documents are consistent, accurate, and delivered on time.
- Support the Head of Bids in refining processes, templates, and internal workflows.
Essential
- Proven experience managing complex tenders in construction, fit-out, or built environment sectors.
- Strong ability to interpret tender documents and translate them into actionable plans.
- Experience managing and developing junior or mid-level bid professionals.
- Excellent planning, organisational, and attention-to-detail skills.
Desirable
- Experience using InDesign, Figma, or digital submission platforms.
- Experience with AI-supported writing tools (e.g., Autogen AI).
