Workplace Doctors is working with an established Occupational Health provider looking to expand their team of Occupational Health Advisors in Tyne & Wear. Our client provides effective service and advice on work related issues and health surveillance programmes. They are offering a competitive salary for the ideal candidate, who will be ambitious, self-motivated and confident. This position provides you with the opportunity of establishing your own area, networking with clients and being part of a market leading team in the UK. Overview

Occupational Health Advisor with Armed Forces / Defence experience to work at their site in Tyne & Wear. Our client is interested in applications from experienced OHA\’s, with an OH qualification, and with a wide experience in all aspects of OHA practice, including sickness absence and wellbeing. You must have a UK driving licence and your own car. It would be beneficial to be on Part 3 of the register but not essential. The role involves 60% case management and 40% wellbeing. This is a newly created role, so you will be tasked with setting up a brand-new wellbeing programme for the business.

Responsibilities

  • 60% case management and 40% wellbeing; be a dynamic worker with the capacity to manage both aspects of the role.
  • Main duties include: ensure compliance with Department of Health, HSE and other guidelines/legislation; advise, monitor, and assess clinical practice of the OH team; assess, plan, implement, deliver and evaluate programmes of care; work with divisional directors/managers to implement company objectives; recognise the development needs of junior, or less experienced staff, take appropriate action and maintain and monitor any training plans; explore and develop further OH business opportunities.

Essential Requirements

  • NMC Registration Essential (Nursing & Midwifery Council)
  • Be a Registered General Nurse

  • Post registration experience in a variety of settings
  • Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Professional awareness and ongoing professional development
