What we’re looking for
As an Employment Law Advisor within the Contracts and Handbooks team, you will review client documentation to determine whether updates or full redrafts are required and draft high-quality contracts, handbooks and policies for both new and existing clients across a range of sectors. You will conduct annual compliance reviews, manage a portfolio of document projects, and liaise directly with clients to provide clear, practical and commercially focused advice. The role includes amending documents in line with feedback, researching developments in employment law, maintaining accurate case management, and supporting training and out-of-hours advice where required.
You will also play a key role in service delivery, ensuring advice is timely, accurate and aligned with professional standards while supporting clients to achieve their commercial objectives. This includes managing stakeholder relationships, maintaining strong administrative standards and meeting KPIs. Above all, you will be part of a collaborative and supportive culture, which values expertise, continuous improvement and professional development.
About you
You’ll be either a qualified legal professional (Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive) or an individual with an equivalent HR/ER qualification or relevant experience. Candidates will have strong attention to detail and experience of legal and policy drafting. This may include newly qualified legal professionals with at least two years’ experience as a trainee or paralegal, or individuals with more than two years’ experience delivering employment law and employee relations advice within a legal or HR setting. Applicants must demonstrate up-to-date technical knowledge of employment law, competence across core advisory areas, excellent Microsoft Word formatting skills, and the ability to work efficiently within a largely fixed-fee model. Strong prioritisation skills, commercial awareness, and a commitment to high standards of client care are essential, alongside a proven track record of achieving business objectives and client satisfaction. You’ll be a collaborative team player whose behaviours align with the values and supportive, high-performing culture at WorkNest, where professionalism, continuous improvement and shared success are at the heart of what we do.
