Full job description Class 1 Tramper Driver - £16.00 + £25 Night Out

Location: Quarrington Depot

Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday (5 nights away / Tramping)

Start Times: Between 05:00 - 06:00

Hours: 55 hours per week

The Role

Based from our Quarrington depot, we are recruiting a Class 1 Tramper Driver to transport waste materials nationwide. This role involves tramping Monday to Friday, staying away five nights per week, supporting safe, compliant, and sustainable operations across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate Class 1 (C+E) HGV vehicles
  • Collection and delivery of waste materials
  • Manage tramping schedule and nights away effectively
  • Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects
  • Maintain digital tachograph records
  • Comply with WTD and driver regulations
  • Provide a professional service at all customer sites

What You'll Need

  • Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) licence
  • Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
  • Proven Class 1 driving experience (waste experience preferred)
  • Comfortable with 5 nights away per week
  • Good standard of English
  • Reliable, professional, and safety-focused

Pay & Benefits

  • 55 hours per week
  • 40 hours @ £16.00/hr
  • 15 hours overtime @ £21.75/hr
  • £25 night-out allowance (per night)
  • Paid breaks
  • Overtime available weekly
