Operating from state-of-the-art kitchens in Oxfordshire, this is an exciting opportunity to begin or grow your culinary career in a high-quality, fast-paced environment. We are looking for a passionate and motivated Commis Chef to join a busy production kitchen in Bicester. This role is perfect for someone eager to learn, develop their skills, and work alongside experienced chefs preparing high-quality dishes for a prestigious travel service.
The Role
- As a Commis Chef, you will support the senior kitchen team in the preparation and production of premium dishes.
- You'll gain hands-on experience while helping maintain the high standards expected by our client.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist chefs in preparing ingredients and basic food production.
- Follow recipes and instructions from senior chefs accurately.
- Label, organise, and rotate stock, ensuring allergen information is recorded correctly.
- Help prepare and pack food to high standards within set deadlines.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workstation, following “clean as you go” practices.
- Support stock control, including fridge organisation and basic stock checks.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and PPE requirements at all times.
- Show willingness to learn and contribute to the team.
