Workmate Agency is recruiting on behalf of a leading UK food distribution business. We are currently recruiting HGV Class 2 Drivers for a fast-growing food distribution company supplying hotels, pubs, and restaurants across the UK. This is a full-time, permanent role with consistent shifts, excellent earning potential, and long-term career progression.

Job Type: Full-time, permanent

Shift Patterns (Days or Nights):

  • Thursday – Monday | 04:00–05:00 start
  • Sunday – Thursday | 19:30 start

Average 48 hours per week over a 17-week rolling period.

Pay: £44,000 per annum OTE

Key Responsibilities:

  • Multi-drop food deliveries to customer sites
  • Ensuring goods are placed into correct storage areas (fridges/freezers)
  • Completing vehicle safety checks and reporting defects
  • Maintaining legal compliance at all times
  • Accurate completion of PODs and delivery records
  • Use of in-cab technology (Vanlogic)
  • Refuelling, cleaning, and securing vehicles

Requirements:

  • Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
  • Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
  • Previous HGV driving experience (multi-drop preferred)
  • Good knowledge of UK driving and working time regulations
  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
  • Professional, customer-focused attitude
  • No more than 6 penalty points (no DD/DR/IN)
