Kingsgate Shopping Centre is Huddersfield’s dominant enclosed retail and leisure destination. At approximately 280,000 sqft, with over 40 retail and leisure units, a 600+ space multi-storey car park and a strong mix of national retailers and leisure operators, the scheme plays a central role in the town’s economy.
Following its recent acquisition by Northdale Advisors and continued management by Workman LLP, an opportunity has arisen for an Operations Manager to join the on-site leadership team at an exciting stage in the asset’s evolution.
The Opportunity
- This is a hands-on, site-based operational leadership role responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant and efficient running of the centre.
- The scheme includes a significant leisure anchor with The Light Cinema, alongside bowling, axe throwing and external facilities.
- Management of plant, building systems and statutory compliance.
- Service charge and operational budget management.
- Tenant liaison and day-to-day operational support.
- Stakeholder engagement with local partners and external bodies.
- Supporting event operations and weekend trading where required.
About You
You may currently be:
- An Operations or Facilities Manager within retail property.
- Working within a lead site position within a service provider such as a Soft Services Manager.
- A rounded FM professional with customer facing experience.
- A technically grounded operator looking to broaden into a more commercially visible role.
You will bring:
- Strong contractor management experience.
- Confidence leading teams.
