An Assistant Client Accountant will be responsible for the day to day accounting processes and the monthly reporting of diverse property portfolios consisting of commercial, industrial and retail properties. The role requires regular and direct communication with the accounts team, property managers, tenants and our clients to ensure the production of accurate and timely accounting records.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain close professional relationships with clients, tenants and colleagues within the accounting teams and the wider business.
- Using your initiative is encouraged.
- Process a high volume of financial data and perform thorough reviews and reporting of this data to our clients.
- Lead the Accounts Administrators and support the Client Accountants within the team, ensuring all tasks are completed on time and meet internal and client KPIs to deliver a best‑in‑class service.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail, strong organisational, prioritisation and communication skills, good team‑working and a desire to learn and develop within the role.
- Deliver excellent and professional communication skills with the ability to build good working relationships with colleagues within accounts and the wider business.
- Adopt a proactive, practical, and positive approach to work.
Duties will include
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly client reports, including VAT and IPD reporting.
- Cash management of client funds ensuring money is transferred in line with client requirements.
- Management of lease information.
- Client and tenant query resolution.
- Preparing and transferring the rental income to the client.
- Updating control spreadsheets.
- Management of central inboxes.
- Any other duties that will ensure the smooth running of the accounting department.
Qualifications
- Studying ACCA or AAT level 4 is preferred.
- IT & software skills, particularly Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Excel.
