We are a market-leading, mission-driven organisation focused on accelerating the transition to a net-zero economy through electric vehicle adoption. As we enter a significant period of growth having recently scaled the business to 50,000 cars on the road and ambitions of beyond 100,000 in the next 24 months, we are scaling our FP&A team to support our increasingly complex financial landscape spanning end to end operations. This is a high-growth opportunity for an analytically sharp professional looking to build a career in commercial finance. Joining as an Analyst, you will sit close to the data, working across financial planning, cash management, and data-driven business partnering. You won't just be populating templates; you will be translating large, complex datasets into accurate, decision-ready insights that shape how our rapidly expanding leasing business operates.

What you'll do:

  • Financial Planning & Liquidity: Maintain and update short-term and long-term cash flow forecasts (3-statement modelling), monitoring cash positions across various funding facilities and operational activities.
  • Data Analytics: Write, maintain, and optimise SQL queries in Databricks to extract and transform data from large operational datasets. You will be the first line of defence for data quality, identifying anomalies and documenting issues with clear business context.
  • Performance Reporting: Track actual performance against budget, analyse variances, and identify key drivers. You will develop and maintain FP&A dashboards ensuring they remain accurate and fit-for-purpose.
  • Strategic Alignment: Produce ad hoc financial analysis for the CFO and teams across the business—including Strategy, Procurement, and Operations—connecting numbers to commercial outcomes.
  • Process Improvement: Partner with Tech and Product teams to ensure data infrastructure is fit for the FP&A function, translating finance requirements into clear briefs to improve forecasting accuracy and scalability.

What you'll have:

  • Professional Experience: 1-2 years of experience in FP&A, commercial finance, data analytics, or a similar analytical role (Part-qualified or studying towards ACCA, CIMA, or ACA is a bonus).
  • Technical Aptitude: Strong SQL skills (you write queries confidently) and expert-level Excel / Google Sheets skills (you can build robust, auditable models from scratch). Exposure to data visualisation tools (Databricks, Power BI, Looker) or Python is a plus.
  • Analytical Mindset: High accuracy orientation. You notice when something doesn't add up and you don't move on until you understand why. You also possess a solid understanding of how the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow relate to each other.
  • Comfort with Ambiguity: You are comfortable working with imperfect data. You can size the materiality of a data problem and communicate it clearly rather than ignoring it or being paralysed by it.
  • Communication: Clear written and verbal communication, particularly when explaining data limitations or financial assumptions to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Mission Focus: Be genuinely motivated to apply your financial and technical skillset to play an important role in the FP&A team and help drive a business tackling climate change.
