In just five years, Octopus Electroverse has grown to become one of the largest eMobility players in Europe, with +1.5 million connected electric vehicle chargers and a customer ecosystem spanning web, iOS, Android, CarPlay, Android Auto & Automotive OS, and more. But that’s just the start: we’re looking to make the electric fleet transition as smart and simple as possible by building the best product suite through Octopus Fleet.
We’re busy growing new products, working with more automotive and tech partners, building exciting new features at scale, and creating the integrated charging experiences of the future - all in the name of making the electric fleet transition super simple. Octopus Fleet is a multifunctional team comprising product, development, commercial, operations, marketing, partnerships and more - all focused on making Octopus the go-to name in fleet electrification. And we’re looking for smart individuals with an interest in the space who can help us make it happen.
About the role: We’re looking for a passionate B2B Marketing Lead to join the Electroverse team and grow our Octopus Fleet brand. Being a true generalist, you’ll lead on the day-to-day marketing piece, feeding into the wider strategy with the Head of Marketing. Being a part of the Octopus Group, there are a few things you should know… We don’t do things the traditional way. No agencies, no bureaucratic sign-off processes, and no unnecessary meetings. We have an incredible in-house team of developers, marketers, designers, product and commercial teams, and we all work together to create a product that transforms the e-mobility space.
For the right person, this is a freeing and revolutionary way of working, but if you need hand-holding, this might not be the job for you. You’ll need to be hands-on, proactive, and full of ideas – we’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running. Our marketing team is lean for a product with such an international outlook, which makes this the perfect place to get stuck in and make an impact.
What you'll do: This is a truly varied role, so your day-to-day will vary. To give you a glimpse into what you’ll be working on:
- Lead, develop, and execute strategic B2B marketing plans and targeted ABM campaigns to engage key enterprise accounts, introduce new products, and align with business targets.
- Lead the B2B SEO and content strategy – creating engaging copy, customer success stories, video content, newsletters, and social visuals, while championing Octopus Fleet's tone of voice.
- Partner with Sales/BD, Events, Performance Marketing, Operations, and Web/Design teams to align B2B campaigns, ensure smooth lead hand-offs, and produce compelling sales collateral.
- Think creatively about Octopus Fleet's presence in the fleet ecosystem and stay up-to-date with digital trends, with the ultimate aim of helping businesses transition their fleets to electric.
What you'll need: You’re pipeline obsessed and have proven success driving revenue growth through successful demand generation and ABM strategies. You’re a self-starter who doesn’t wait for a perfectly detailed brief. You’re comfortable taking ownership, running experiments, learning from failures, and scaling what works. You can comfortably zoom out to design a high-level quarterly strategy but aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves to build and execute campaigns yourself.
You have strong experience growing a B2B brand, with particular strengths in storytelling, narrative-led marketing, and creating engaging content – from social posts to high-impact campaigns. You have experience across digital marketing, including SEO, campaign management, paid channels (LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads, PPC), and using performance metrics to optimise results. You have an excellent understanding of audience, writing style, and tone of voice and enjoy diving into the detail to simplify complex topics for customers – something that's core to Octopus's DNA.
You’re a people person who really enjoys collaborating with awesome humans and is genuinely passionate about building green products that help decarbonise our planet. You don’t need detailed knowledge of electric vehicles or e-mobility, but an interest in the industry and a desire to learn more is essential.
Why else you'll love it here: Octopus Energy Group is a unique culture. An organisation where people learn, decide, and build quicker. Where people work with autonomy, alongside a wide range of amazing co-owners, on projects that break new ground. We want your hard work to be rewarded with perks you actually care about!
