The Senior Demo Consultant is a strategic engineering and architectural leader within the Demo Operations team. In this role, you will be a "force multiplier" for the global presales organization. You will architect, engineer, and automate the highly complex, data-forward master demo environments that empower our field Solution Consultants to seamlessly tell Workiva’s multi-solution story. You will be a key part of helping the team shift demo operations away from reactive, custom-built trial requests and toward proactive, highly scalable asset development.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead major demo environment overhauls and architect "Gold Standard" multi-solution demo footprints.
  • Design, build, and maintain automated, "push-button" deployment pipelines to stand up fully loaded demo environments on demand, reducing rebuild times for field Solution Consultants.
  • Utilize advanced technical capabilities, including Python scripting, Workiva Chains, and complex API integrations, to build automated, data-forward demo environments that refresh efficiently.
  • Design and implement AI-powered workflows to optimize demo build and QA cycle times, and embed Workiva's native AI capabilities directly into master demo narratives.
  • Identify patterns in internal ticketing requests to transition team workload from reactive fixes to the creation of scalable, self-service assets.
  • Design and enforce clear Proof-of-Concept (POC) guidelines and technical boundaries for field SCs to follow when standard demos require customization.
  • Collaborate with Product Management to ensure new product features are engineered into master demo environments prior to broad release, and provide structured technical feedback regarding demo friction.
  • Serve as a technical lead and resource for the Demo Consulting team, driving knowledge-sharing around complex environments, advanced troubleshooting, and automation.

What You’ll Need

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6+ years of related experience in Demo Operations, Application Development, Demo Engineering, or DevOps Infrastructure.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent years of career experience and knowledge.
  • Hands-on technical experience with cloud technologies, API integrations, and scripting languages (such as Python) to build robust, automated data environments.
  • Practical experience leveraging AI tools (e.g., prompt engineering, AI-driven workflow automation) and CI/CD technologies and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) to optimize build cycles, ensure environment stability, and accelerate time-to-market for demo assets.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of data models, complex system integrations, data migration, and SaaS architectures. Experience with Workiva implementation is highly desired.
  • Strong presentation, storytelling, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex business needs and technical capabilities into highly consumable, value-driven demo experiences.
  • Strong organizational skills and experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives to transition projects from bespoke builds to globally scalable solutions.
  • Self-motivated with a strong bias toward action, measurable results, and continuous operational improvement.

Travel Requirements & Working Conditions

Up to 15% travel. Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely, if not in a Workiva office.
