The Senior International Payroll Specialist (for APAC & EMEA) is an integral part of Workiva’s payroll operations and is responsible for processing the monthly payroll across multiple locations in EMEA and APAC. This role will collaborate closely with Benefits, People and Culture, Equity, and Finance teams to maintain our best in class employee experience. This includes managing payroll and statutory data with our internal teams and external payroll vendors, making sure payments are made timely and accurately, and being the first contact point for our employees and internal stakeholders. What You’ll Do:

  • Collect and manage multiple countries' payroll data, ensuring the timely and accurate submission of input to external payroll providers
  • Review and audit payroll results for accuracy
  • Partner with Workiva Finance and People and Culture teams to drive excellence in payroll administration
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, collective labour agreements, and company policies while providing expert guidance and support to the team and business on payroll matters
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing payroll inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Process complex payroll transactions, including salaries, statutory, and third-party payments, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

What You'll Need

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in international payroll operations - preferably in a public company
  • Undergraduate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in international payroll

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with multi-national payroll operations
  • Experience with Workday and CloudPay is highly valued
  • In-depth knowledge of multi-national payroll requirements and local practices
  • Can adapt to the needs and styles of people from different cultures
  • Strong sense of initiative and action-oriented
  • Can work in a highly collaborative and innovative environment while meeting payroll deadlines
  • Identify and resolve issues methodically with close attention to detail and critical thinking
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to multitask and manage multiple processes, programs, and procedures simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Fluency in a language in addition to English a plus

Travel Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely, not in a Workiva office
  • Minimal travel (1-2 trips per year for team summits in the US)
