We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to work within our well-established 24-hour Hospital based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. Your average day will include a variety of nursing duties as well as assisting with clinical coaching within the practice. You will be supported by a wonderful and experienced nursing team, of whom many have finished or are carrying out certificates such as in anaesthesia and analgesia or medical and surgical nursing.

We have great diagnostic equipment at the hospital including CT scanner, multiparameter, k laser, endoscope and a laparoscopic kit. We also have a wide range of lab equipment including an Imagyst.

We are offering full time of 40 hours per week which includes a 1 in 6 full weekend rota, a bank holiday shift every 18 months and on call 1-2 weeks per year.

About you: You’re a RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse with a passion for delivering exceptional patient and client care. You’re a team player who wants to make a real difference in a practice that values and supports you.

What you’ll be doing: Typically, in this role, you’ll:

  • Deliver exceptional care to patients, carrying out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities, supporting consults, surgeries and procedures, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards
  • Deliver patient monitoring and care, and manage admissions and discharges
  • Deliver exceptional care to your clients
  • Work collaboratively within a supportive team
