Shrewsbury Town Council is hiring a Team Leader for its Street Cleansing team, having agreed to take on street cleaning responsibilities from Shropshire Council. The team objectives will be to enhance street cleaning services and to respond to localised concerns as they arise, whilst encouraging the public to maintain its public realm.
The post holder will be proactive in identifying issues of concern to the community, liaising with elected members when required to ensure their resolution. They will liaise daily with the Operational Manager(s) over street cleaning issues across the whole of Shrewsbury.
To provide necessary cover to meet sickness and holidays for the rest of the Street Cleaning Team and also other teams within the operational teams. Predominantly the post holder shall operate on a flexible 7-day rota to ensure that all assets will be opened and closed in line with the advertised hours.
