We are looking for an experienced and professional Front of House Manager to lead the delivery of exceptional workplace support services at HMRC Birmingham. This is a high-profile role responsible for overseeing front of house, cleaning, and post room operations, ensuring the highest standards of customer care, presentation, and operational excellence are delivered at all times.

As Front of House Manager, you will lead and develop operational teams, manage day-to-day service delivery, and build strong working relationships with HMRC stakeholders, customers, and service partners. You will play a key role in ensuring all services are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with contractual KPIs and Sodexo standards.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily delivery of front of house, cleaning, and post room services across the site
  • Ensure all service standards, KPIs, and contractual requirements are consistently achieved
  • Lead, motivate, and develop teams to deliver outstanding customer service
  • Manage staffing levels, labour targets, and operational performance
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with HMRC stakeholders and customers
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH, and company procedures
  • Monitor quality standards and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Manage budgets, waste control, and operational efficiencies
  • Respond professionally to customer queries, complaints, and operational issues
  • Conduct regular audits, inspections, team briefings, and performance reviews
  • Support wider site operations and undertake Duty Manager responsibilities when required
  • Collaborate effectively with internal departments and external FM service providers
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a Front of House, Facilities Management, or Soft FM management role
  • Strong leadership and people management experience
  • Experience managing customer facing services within a corporate or public sector environment
  • Knowledge of cleaning operations and workplace service delivery
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety and COSHH regulations
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and make effective operational decisions
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • A proactive and customer focused approach with high attention to detail
Desirable qualifications
  • Experience working within a Government or HMRC environment
  • IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent Health & Safety qualification
  • Experience within a contract led FM environment
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high performing teams
