WSR is recruiting for a Part Time Business Development Manager for our reputable client in Brixworth, Northamptonshire.

Location: Brixworth, Northamptonshire (National travel required)

Salary: £50,000 pro rata + 10% commission on business won

Hours: 3 days per week (flexible)

We're looking for an experienced and commercially minded Business Development Manager to play a key role in driving business growth across the construction, refurbishment and fit-out sector. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, opening doors and identifying new opportunities. Working closely with the Managing Director, you'll help grow an established presence across specialist markets including education, care, commercial refurbishment and retail fit-out. If you have a strong network within construction or property and enjoy turning conversations into long-term business partnerships, we'd love to hear from you.

Business Development Manager Role Responsibilities:

  • Developing and delivering a business development strategy to support continued growth.
  • Identifying and securing new opportunities across:
    • Education
    • Commercial refurbishment and fit-out
    • Retail conversion and fit-out projects
  • Building relationships with key stakeholders, architects, surveyors, project managers and consultants.
  • Researching upcoming projects and identifying potential opportunities.
  • Monitoring tender portals and framework agreements.
  • Attending networking events, exhibitions and client meetings.
  • Supporting bid submissions with capability statements, presentations and other sales material.
  • Working closely with estimating and operational teams to ensure a seamless handover from enquiry through to project delivery.
  • Managing and maintaining an accurate CRM system and sales pipeline.
  • Producing regular reports on pipeline activity, opportunities and forecasts.
  • Acting as a professional ambassador for the business and building long-term client relationships.

  • Proven business development or sales experience within construction, refurbishment, property or a closely related industry.
  • A successful track record of generating leads and converting opportunities into projects.
