Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement quantitative models to support trading, risk management, and product pricing.
- Analyze large, complex data sets to uncover market inefficiencies and generate actionable insights.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and compliance teams to integrate research findings into production systems.
- Build and maintain statistical tools and dashboards for real‑time monitoring of key performance indicators.
- Conduct rigorous back‑testing and validation of algorithms to ensure robustness and regulatory compliance.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends in crypto markets, machine learning, and quantitative finance, and propose innovative solutions.
- Present research results and recommendations clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Essential Qualifications
- Advanced degree (MSc/PhD) in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, Quantitative Finance, or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in Python (NumPy, pandas, scikit‑learn) and/or C++/C#/Java.
- Proven experience with statistical modeling, time‑series analysis, and machine‑learning techniques.
- Deep understanding of financial markets, especially cryptocurrency exchanges and derivatives.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and a data‑driven mindset.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.
Desired Experience
- 3 years of professional experience in quantitative research, data science, or related roles within the fintech/crypto sector.
- Hands‑on experience building and deploying production‑grade models in a live trading environment.
- Familiarity with blockchain data, on‑chain analytics, and crypto‑specific risk factors.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for crypto exchanges (e.g., AML, KYC, GDPR) is advantageous.
Salary & Benefits
Salary Range: £200,000 – £250,000 per annum (annual, gross)
