Great opportunity to utilise your driving skills and knowledge. We are looking for a C+E driver trainer based at Market Drayton. This is a 6 on and 2 off shift pattern. The candidate must be flexible and able to cover a range of shifts and days. Weekend work will be compulsory as this falls within the 6-day work. You will be working for one of the UK’s largest transport groups. You may be required to work as a Class 1 driver during busy periods, such as Christmas and the summer holidays, so a Class 1 license is required to apply for this role. Milk Tanker experience preferred.

Shift: 6 on 2 off, Nights 18:00 – 04:00 (flexibility and overtime possible)

Pay Rates

  • Monday to Friday – overtime after 47.5 hours (£17.85/hr)
  • Night overtime after 47.5 hours (£20.39/hr)
  • Weekly uplift of £20

Knowledge & Experience Required

  • Full and current Cat C+E driving license for at least 3 years
  • Good communication skills
  • Understanding of Drivers Hours and Tachograph Legislation
  • Understanding of Road Transport Working Time Directive (RTWTD)
  • Willing to deliver Driver CPC training
  • Proficiency in English
  • Basic computer skills
  • Polite and professional demeanor with high customer service standards
  • Good timekeeping and attendance
  • Flexible hours to meet business needs
  • Willingness to undertake training
  • Promote best practice processes

Duties include

  • Conduct driving assessments
  • Deliver driver CPC training
  • Support on-route learning & delivery point familiarisation
  • Monitor Tachograph infringements and provide support
  • Coach on safe driving, accident & fuel efficiency
  • Mentor trainees in training schemes
  • Carry out general driving duties if required
  • Full training and career development provided
