Hours: 7am – 7pm / 7pm – 7am, 4 on 4 off shift system (12 hour shifts – rotating through days and nights). Permanent. Based near Old Leake – own transport required to reach site.
Our Client encourages engineers to identify improvements, order parts, and implement solutions that enhance safety and performance, making the role engaging and enjoyable. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will use your engineering knowledge to support the upkeep and improvement of factory equipment, amenities, and production systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on a wide range of machinery and systems, including automated network‑linked milling, process, and packing equipment; gas‑fired ovens; mill equipment for grinding, sieving, storing, and handling ingredients; extruders and mixers; conveying systems with motors and drive systems; QR‑coded CMMS system; forklift trucks, cherry picker & scissor lift; lighting & electrical supplies; steam boiler with pipework and valves; hydraulics and pneumatics; site amenities.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot breakdowns, minimizing downtime and ensuring quick resolution.
- Work collaboratively with production teams to optimize equipment performance.
- Contribute to improvement projects as part of the facility’s ongoing investment.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with health & safety standards.
