An established manufacturing operation is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Planner to support production planning and scheduling activities. The role is responsible for ensuring materials, capacity, and production plans are aligned to meet customer demand, operational targets, and delivery commitments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain production plans and schedules in line with customer demand and forecast data.
- Coordinate material requirements to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
- Work closely with production, procurement, engineering, and logistics teams to balance capacity and demand.
- Monitor production performance and address variances to plan.
- Maintain accurate planning data within ERP/MRP systems.
- Support inventory optimisation, reducing excess stock and shortages.
- Identify risks to delivery schedules and proactively implement mitigation actions.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives relating to planning, scheduling, and supply chain efficiency.
- Prepare and present planning reports and performance metrics as required.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in a manufacturing planning, production planning, or scheduling role.
- Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems and manufacturing processes.
